for business with the
Ardis Quick Digger
Art, Dick and Sam began their
metal fabricating shop known
as Ardisam out of a small ga-
rage located on Main Street in
Cumberland, Wisconsin. Their
vision and ingenuity yielded
working power equipment.
The powered post hole digger
engineered back then is just
as tough, durable and afford-
able today as it was in 1960.

absorber goes on
first earth auger drill
The revolutionary IsoVibe
auger coil absorbs vibration
from rocks and tree roots
that drills commonly
encounter.
The original tried
and true flex coil
design is still used
today on our pow-
ered earth drills!
1970 Ardisam Con-
structs New Head-
quarters As the Earth-
quake brand gained
popularity, the factory gained
floorspace. Implementing
numerous time saving metal
fabricating devices, painting
booths, testing facilities, and
shipping and receiving docks,
Earthquake became better
able to serve the growing
demand for its products.
1983 Earthquake Employs
New Heavy-Duty Transmision
Earthquake introduces a new gear drive trans-
mission for its earth augers. This mechanical ad-
vancement reduced the amount of maintenance
compared with other chain driven transmissions.
1987 First Earthquake Rototiller
Earthquake continued with more ground-break-
ing ideas by beginning their line of rototillers.
The rear tine tiller machines included a drag
stake to ensure optimum digging levels while
easily tilling through even the toughest soil.
